Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 24, 2026

Revealcast is a small product with a simple promise: we collect what we need to run your reveal, we ask before collecting anything more, and we don't sell or rent any of it. Ever.

What we collect

Waitlist. If you join the Revealcast waitlist, we collect your email address and signup source so we can tell you when the product opens. Ask us and we'll delete it.

Hosts. Your email address (we sign you in with a magic link — no passwords), and the details you add to your event: family name, event date, theme choices, name shortlists, and any logo or images you upload.

Guests. Guests never create an account. When a guest votes, we store the display name they type in, their guess, and any baby-name suggestions they add. To keep the vote fair, we store a random identifier in the guest's browser so the same device can't vote twice — it isn't used to track anyone across sites and contains no personal information.

Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We keep only a record of what was purchased for which event.

Optional questions. After you sign in we ask three optional questions: how you found us, your age range, and your due date. Answering is entirely up to you — you can skip every one, and skipping changes nothing about your event. We use the answers in aggregate, to understand who hosts reveals and to decide where to advertise Revealcast. We do not use your due date to advertise anything to you, and we never hand these answers to an advertiser. Ask us and we'll delete them.

What we don't do

  • No selling or renting your data to anyone.
  • No third-party tracking cookies, and no advertising inside Revealcast. We do advertise Revealcast elsewhere, and the optional questions above help us choose where — but we share only aggregate counts, never your answers or your email.
  • No public search indexing of your event page — party pages are flagged so search engines keep them out of results.

Who helps us run the service

Your data lives with the vendors that run Revealcast: Supabase (database, sign-in, and file storage), Cloudflare (hosting and delivery), and Stripe (payments). Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

Sharing within your party

A reveal is a shared moment, so some information is visible by design: guest display names, guesses, and name suggestions appear on the live board and the TV screen for everyone at your event. Share links (including the results card) show the family name and the reveal result to anyone who has the link.

Keeping and deleting data

A paid event stays live for 30 days from purchase, then it closes and we email you the results. Guest video messages are automatically deleted about 30 days after your event. Want something gone sooner? Email us and we'll delete your event, your account, or a specific guest's entries — usually within a few days.

Children

Revealcast is a tool for adults hosting a party. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll note it here with a new date up top.
